Ian received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina in 2021, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa Honors as one of the top pianists in the Jazz Studies program. Since then, Ian has toured the US as the keyboardist for the rock ensemble, Frute, recording multiple albums with grammy-nominated producer, TJ Elias (GroupLove, Walk the Moon). In 2022, Ian began writing his first speculative fiction novel entitled Oven Heads. Since then, he has written two additional novelettes, Signholders and The Last Testament, which he hopes to release in a three-story collection by the end of 2025. In 2024, Ian began composing soundtracks for independent films. Within a year, he was awarded "Best Animated Short Film" for his work on A La Madre at Monterrey Tech's competition in Mexico. Ian has scored horror, comedy, and animated films directed by American and Mexican film-makers, some of which include, Night Shift at Ned's and Amphibious Mozart.
